We take a strategic approach to absence management
We help you choose the funding mechanism that best meets your cash flow requirements and risk tolerance. We evaluate your entire income replacement plan as a tool for managing employee absences and lost time, with special consideration to:
- Eliminating gaps and overlaps in coverage and benefit payments
- Adjusting for the tax consequences of different types of benefits
- Defining incentives for employees to return to work quickly
- Addressing key issues for those employees who are unable to return to work.
We also provide assistance with the development and distribution of Plan documents, procedures, employee communications, and event—and claim—reporting materials.
We ensure compliance with the law
Matrix Nurses work together with the Medical Providers, Employers, and Employees to facilitate appropriate medical care, identify obstacles to recovery, and ultimately focus on returning an individual to work. Obstacles may include work restrictions which can result in the need for temporary or permanent modification of duty or sometimes a new job. Return-To-Work services coordinates the accommodations needed to facilitate the disabled employee's timely return to work.
We review all programs, all documentation and all communications for compliance with State and Federal law. We also ensure the timely completion and submission of all government-mandated reports, preparing forms for your signature and—for Workers' Compensation claim management programs—responding on your behalf to audit findings.
We meet with you regularly to keep our service on track
We're always available to meet with you to maximize program results. We also schedule periodic meetings to discuss issues and evaluate performance. We conduct Claim Reviews quarterly.
We meet with you annually to deliver a comprehensive management report including benchmarking your company against other companies similar in size and industry. We are EMPAQ certified. This forum gives you the opportunity to develop an overview of the Plan's performance, review experience over the previous year and examine projections for the upcoming year based on the Plan's financial trends, imminent legislation and your company' s evolution.
